Yes. Today was very full. I started at 5:30 and pretty much
didn't stop until 11:30 in the evening. Not all work, work, work, but a good bit
of it.
We didn't even send out our weekly e-mail update. We'll do
it tomorrow, but it's the first time in forever that we missed our deadline.
I don't like the feeling of running steady like that.
Speaking of running, I resurrected my old jogging route. I
walked it briskly today. Took an hour. I did not work up nearly as much sweat
nor did I breathe nearly as hard as when I do zumba. Still pretty discouraged
that my knees are keeping me from doing it. But I'm going to look for
alternatives this week, giving the knee time to recover, and then maybe ease
back into the zumba next week.
I'm glad to say that I did find a bit of quiet time with God
in the midst of the crazy schedule. It was a pool of calm in a whirlwind of
activity.
And I'm concluding I don't like committees very much. It
seems that they are unfocused and clunky. How does anything ever get done? I
don't know that I'm cut out for committee life.
Anyway, it's VERY late and the cat awaits. Mr. always chews
up his straws (it's difficult to explain) and the cat loves to bat them around
once he has thrown them away. She actually digs them out of the trash. Toight,
however, he did not have a drink with a straw. So I decided to chew up mine,
since there weren't any around for the cat. Alas, apparently I don't chew
straws correctly. She has shown very little interest in the one I "made"
for her.
Sheesh.
