ailing

Well, today started out traumatically, and is ending with a whimper. Early this morning I was cutting receipts apart with my exacto knife, let my mind wander a little bit, and sliced my finger. Ouch. Now, tonight, I am feeling kind of lousy: sore throat, achy body, a little feverish.

I know I say this almost every post, but I really want to get to bed at a good time tonight.

Everything in between was pretty OK; the rest of the morning was filled with meeting with a short-term team, slightly painful, but not as bad as cutting my finger. It's always awkward to hear people's misconceptions and watch them try to be experts. The longer we are here and the more we learn, the less expert we feel. I think confidence is reserved for the inexperienced.

Then back to the restaurant around lunch time to finish my mosaic pieces. I hoped to get them up on the wall tonight, but didn't quite happen. Tomorrow for sure. If I don't come down with this cold.

The best photo I could muster was of an old brick wall in the Mexican place where we ate supper. Great food, by the way. Even with a sore throat.

And a margarita is just what the doctor ordered. ;-)
