Weary

Well, I had the best of intentions to get this done early. But it's already past 10 PM, and I'm just getting started.

The training went well. The second day was even better than the first, because I think we all got to know each other a bit better and started feeling more comfortable together. I'm excited about taking this journey the rest of the year with each woman. Great group of ladies; each so unique!

But I'm Weary. With a capital W. Do you realize how much energy it takes to listen actively? To be really engaged in what's being said, and to ask questions that help draw people out? Let me tell you. It takes a LOT. The participants were fried by the end of today because we had been asking them to take in and process lost of information. I was fried just from trying to listen and ask good questions.

Besides that we were trying to help make sure everything ran smoothly. No up-front presentations today, although my Mr. and I got to do the skit. I SO LOVE sharing that with my husband.

So, home again, the kitty is just going crazy. She seems to have all this pent-up energy from being home alone. She's meowing constantly and zipping all over the place. And I was hoping for cuddling. Guess I was wrong.

In spite of being tired, we met up with a friend who's just in country for a few days. Had supper together. It is so refreshing and encouraging to be with someone who believes in you and wants only the best in your life, without thinking about what they're going to get out of it. The neat thing is, we feel the same about this friend and his family. Nice. Also met his co-worker for the first time tonight and felt immediately comfortable. Good evening.

And now I need to call it a night. Sorry for the photo of the flower. I know that's cliché for beauty, but the resort had such pretty garden areas. It was soothing to the soul, and I decided to take photos of flowers while I had the opportunity. Tomorrow it's back to working hard to seek and see beauty.

Off to chase the cat a little bit. Night!
