I have been procrastinating beginning this post, because I
really don't have much to say.
The day moved along well, although I didn't get as much done
as I had hoped. It was my first day at home, after having at least two meetings
a day for the past three days. Come to think of it, I had two meetings today,
too. They just started at 6 pm and 8 pm.
I told myself I would spend all day on computer work. It has
been piling up lately, and I have a few deadlines looming. But, alas, I only
logged about 4 hours on the laptop.
It's because I have been gone so much that I also had some
catching up on house work to do. I ran to a few markets to make a crock pot
meal for Mr.'s supper (my 6:00 meeting was at a restaurant, so he had to eat on
his own). I washed some clothes. I exercised and showered. I visited with a
neighbor. I got the food in the crock pot so that it could be ready for this
evening.
And of course there was the obligatory half an hour spent
playing Tetris. :-/
But I got some e-mailing done in the morning, then after
lunch I worked on a typing project that is due this Sunday (something for
church, obviously). And of course, as soon as I got started a friend stopped by
and visited for an hour. I must be growing up and maturing a little at least, because
instead of fuming inside at the "interruption" I was able to relax
and enjoy the conversation. I figured God must have some reason for her to show
up at this particular time.
Anyway, my time with the woman at my 6:00 appointment was so
very encouraging. The beauty I see in her is the hand of God at work in a heart
that is open to Him and seeking Him diligently.
It was a refreshing meeting after spending the day feeling stressed
about not getting enough done.
