The day started a little rough, since I got to bed late the night before and was concerned about getting my file to the printer. After a few more aborted attempts to send it by e-mail, I finally burned a CD and called them to come pick it up. Really, there was nothing else I could do, and I had to try to shake the feeling of frustration and impatience that had been building since last evening.
But from then on the day took a decidedly better turn. I picked up some rubber stamps I had designed from the shop that makes them for me, and they were exactly as I hoped. Then I worked much of the day on finishing my design for my massive Christmas card production. (I send out over 150 every year.)
Later, as the desktop printer was churning away, grinding out the skeleton of what will become Christmas cards, I designed an ad to promote my design "business" if you can call it that. Actually, I hope to drum up some work with this ad. Can't call it a business yet. I enjoyed the process immensely, and had so much fun working through the layout. I was born to do this.
On such an intensely creative day, I did not stop to find a good photo. So, you'll have to suffer with one taken in my home. Nice composition, but rather bland. Not going to win any awards. My apologies.
