Completion

First of all, you can tell when I save my daily photo taking until the last minute, because it will either be something in my house, or a night-time scene. On those days (like today), you can give me a big "L" for loser. But, I still got a nice shot tonight, in spite of my procrastination.

However, I achieved significant things today, in that I got my big design project to the printer. I am still awaiting a final quote, and then there's the anxiety of waiting a few weeks to see the finished product. It kind of sucks, depending on someone else to bring your vision to fruition. Me being the (recovering) control freak I tend to be, and all. But still, my part is finished. It's a weight off of my shoulders, that's for sure.

Next project: designing and hand-making Christmas cards. Fun stuff! Did you know I can actually get my own rubber stamps made here. Yeah. I design it, take it to this shop, and they make it. I love that. I have no idea how I would even attempt that in the US. Who says living here doesn't have its advantages?

I totally blew supper tonight. I was trying to make soup (NOT a complicated task) and I boiled the stock down to almost nothing, not once, but TWICE! The result was a very concentrated broth, but it was salvageable. I added more water and put it on the stove top to warm, while preparing all the other stuff to go in it. I waited and waited for the broth to boil so I could throw in noodles, and it never did. That's when I realized we were out of gas, and my flame had died. (We get propane gas in small tanks here. One usually lasts about 6 months, and then you swap it out for a full one.) Needless to say, we went out for supper tonight.

Anyway, pretty good day on the whole. I've been fighting a general feeling of sadness and worry for a few days, which is annoying since there's really no good reason to feel that way. Hope I kick it soon.
